Aurora Launcher is a home-screen replacement for Android, published by Chinh Luong ("we"). This policy explains what the app collects, what it deliberately does not collect, and who your data reaches. It covers Aurora Launcher and the companion app Aurora Control.
The short version. There is no account and no sign-in. Almost everything the app knows about you — your layout, your folders, which apps you hide — never leaves your phone. Two things do leave: an advertising identifier, and your approximate location if you turn on the weather widget.

Ads are served by Google AdMob. Google may use your advertising ID to show personalised ads. You can reset that identifier, or opt out of personalised ads entirely, in Settings → Google → Ads on your phone. Google's handling of this data is described in the Google Privacy & Terms.
Buying Remove ads stops the app from requesting ads at all.
If you are in a region where consent is required, the app shows a consent form from Google's User Messaging Platform the first time it would request an ad, and it does not request any ad until you have answered. You can change your answer at any time from Settings → Privacy options inside the app. That entry appears only for users in regions where it applies.
The weather widget is optional and off until you add it. When you add it, the app asks for approximate location permission and sends rounded coordinates to Open-Meteo to retrieve a forecast. No account or API key is involved, and nothing identifying you is sent alongside. Deny or revoke the permission and the widget simply shows an empty state.
Payments are processed entirely by Google Play. The app never sees your card number, billing address, or any payment detail — only whether the “Remove ads” entitlement is active on your Google account.
The following never leaves your phone. It is stored locally and is removed when you uninstall the app:
The app has no cloud sync and no backup server. If you factory reset or switch phones, this data does not follow you, because it was never sent anywhere.

Every one of these is requested only when you first use the feature that needs it, and every one can be revoked afterwards in Android Settings.
Because the app has no server and no account, there is no database of users to breach. Concretely:
Laws such as the GDPR in Europe and the CCPA in California give you rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Those rights are satisfied here in an unusual way: we hold no personal data about you, so there is nothing for us to hand over or erase. The data that does exist is either on your own device, under your control, or held by Google and Open-Meteo under their own policies, linked above.
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
Aurora Launcher is not directed at children under 13 and is not listed in a family programme. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, contact us and it will be removed.
If the app starts collecting something new, this page is updated and the date at the top changes before the new version is released. Material changes will also be noted in the app's release notes on Google Play.
